Community Event Volunteer (Greenwich - 15/5)

Do you have some free time to give to a Mencap event that supports your local community? We are looking for volunteers to represent Mencap and support our upcoming Our Active Community Forum.
This event will help people to learn how to be more active in their community and learn about the sports activities in their area, as well as gaining better access to these opportunities, helping us with our vision for the UK to be the best place in the world for people with a learning disability to live happy and healthy lives. You will be there to ensure these important sessions run smoothly.
The forum will take place on Thursday 15th May, in the Greenwich or Deptford area from 1-3:30pm. We may need some help with set up and take down as well if you are available.
What will you be doing?
- Registering and welcoming people to the session
- Facilitating group conversations and activities
- Assisting gathering event feedback
- Supporting with wayfinding
- Supporting with refreshments

- Friendly and approachable
- Able to take instructions
- Passionate about equal rights
- Able to work as part of a team
- Accepting of others who might be different to yourself
