Fundraising Volunteer (London Victoria and Waterloo bucket collections, 21st or 22nd June)

We are looking for people who can be the face of Mencap by inspiring your community to get involved in raising vital funds. We need you to support a Mencap bucket collection during Learning Disability Week, this will involve talking to the public, asking for donations and helping us to engage with the public. You could even get your family and friends involved too!

When do I need to be available? We will be holding collections at London Victoria and London Waterloo Stations during Learning Disability Week where we will be having a choir perform whilst we bucket collect.

• The collection at London Victoria will be on Saturday 21st June, and we are asking volunteers to support us for 3-4 hours from 07:00 - 19:00.
• The collection at London Waterloo will be on Sunday 22nd June and will be from 11:00 - 14:00.

As a Mencap Volunteer you will be:

• Friendly and Approachable
• Reliable, Kind and Patient
• A good communicator (including listener)
• Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
• Accepting of others who might be different to yourself

As a Mencap volunteer you will:

• Make new friends
• Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses in line with our policy e.g. travel
• Full Training and support
• Volunteer alongside our experienced Fundraising team
• A chance to give back your local community
