Events Volunteer (Apple Store, Manchester, 26th Feb 2025)

Are you passionate about creating music, film, or digital art? Studying creative media and eager to share your skills?
We are looking for volunteers to work with people we support with a learning disability to access technology training sessions at the Manchester Arndale Apple store. If you can spare a couple of hours over the next few weeks, we’d love to have you on board to help us.
Our Me Time service provides local people with a learning disability the chance to learn through activities - indoor and in the community - have fun, and make new friends.

You don’t have to have experience in any or all of the sessions we run, just willing to keep an open mind and a friendly attitude. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

As a Mencap Volunteer you will be:
- Friendly and Approachable
- Reliable, Kind and Patient
- A good communicator (including listener)
- Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
- Accepting of others who might be different to yourself
As a Mencap volunteer you will:
- Make new friends
- Receive agreed out of pocket expenses in line with our policy e.g. travel
- Receive a full volunteer briefing and training on the day
- Volunteer alongside our experienced
- Have a chance to give back your local community
