Fundraising Volunteer (Bucket Collection, Belfast City Centre)

A bucket collection has been organised for Saturday 14 December 10-4pm in Belfast City Centre and it would be fabulous to have as many Mencap Staff/supporters/volunteers helping us on the day – if you could spare an hour or two it would be great to hear from you, perhaps you could use this as a break between shopping, meeting friends, going to the Belfast Christmas Market, OR even for that Christmas tipple!
Please ask friends and family if they can help the more volunteers the better. We have arranged a hub at 2 Royal Avenue as a meeting point and a safe place to leave bags, shopping etc…
This is a fantastic opportunity to get Mencap NI seen in Belfast City Centre and to help raise much needed funds. If you feel you could give us a little of your time, please get in touch.
As a Mencap Volunteer you will be:
- Friendly and Approachable
- Reliable, Kind and Patient
- A good communicator (including listener)
- Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
- Accepting of others who might be different to yourself
As a Mencap volunteer you will:
- Make new friends
- Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses in line with our policy e.g. travel
- Full Training and support
- Volunteer alongside our experienced Fundraising team
- A chance to give back your local community
