Fundraising Volunteer (One Off - Bucket Collection - Walkden)

We are looking for people who can be the face of Mencap by inspiring your community to involved in raising vital funds. There is a bucket collection taking place in Walkden and we'd love for you to be involved!

Are you a Star Wars fan? There will be a group of fundraisers dressed as characters from Star Wars, and we'd love for you to join them to make this a huge event! We will provide recognisable Mencap T-shirts for the duration of your volunteering shift.

We’d appreciate any time that you can spare. As a Mencap Volunteer you will be:

  • Friendly and Approachable
  • Reliable, Kind and Patient
  • A good communicator (including listener)
  • Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
  • Accepting of others who might be different to yourself

As a Mencap volunteer you will:

  • Make new friends
  • Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses in line with our policy e.g. travel
  • Full Training and support
  • Volunteer alongside our experienced Fundraising team
  • A chance to give back your local community
