We are looking for volunteers who can join our Me Time groups on weekdays for a few hours to support with our activities.

Our Me Time service provides local people with a learning disability the chance to learn through activities - indoor and in the community - have fun, and make new friends during the week.

We need a volunteer to help us as a radio sound engineer, to help us broadcast Our Radio show on Fridays, between 11am and 4pm.

Our Radio is a community orientated online radio station run by local people with a learning disability in Islington. We need help to run and produce the weekly show to help us to share our voice! The aim of the radio is to bring local people together, really listening to people and exploring community inspired content and new ideas – shared on the radio.

Take a look at Our Radio website to read a bit more!

We need a volunteer to support us with the technical side of things, setting up the equipment, supporting with editing interviews, and more.

You will need to have some understanding of sound engineering, and will need to support with the following tasks as part of your volunteer role: setting up, operating, and maintaining sound equipment for radio programs, editing interviews, and helping to DJs to put out a good show!

When do I need to be available? The radio show runs every Friday, and we would need your support from 11am to 4pm. Ideally you would volunteer weekly, but if you can only volunteer a few times a month, we would still really appreciate it. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds.

As a weekly activity support volunteer, you will need to provide us with two references and a DBS. By volunteering with us you will be helping local people with a learning disability have fun, learn new skills through activities, and you will be making a huge difference!
